Tips for Success in PAVE

With all forms of learning, there are specific challenges to overcome to be successful. In online learning, time management is the most significant challenge. There is a misconception that online education is less rigorous than a traditional school curriculum; when combined with poor time management, many students tend to fail in the online learning environment.

Below are some tips to help you thrive and be successful in the virtual setting:

1) Develop a space where the student feels comfortable and can be productive.

2) Create a schedule and try to stick to it.

3) Use the built-in calendar to help plan out your day of work that needs to be completed.

4) Meet the assignment requirements. 

5) Attend the bi-weekly check-ins.

6) Communicate with the teachers when you have questions or need assistance. 

7) Take ownership of their learning journey, developing essential skills of time management, organization, advocating, and self-direction. 

8) Be a part of the community. We offer many extracurricular opportunities for our students to participate in.

Questions regarding Daily Operations, Policies, or Procedural Issues: Contact the school Principal

Questions concerning your Child: Contact your child's teacher first regarding class issues. Please get in touch with the school principal if it is not regarding a class issue.

Questions regarding Curriculum, Teaching Methods, Grades, or Missing Assignments: Contact your child's teacher for that specific content area
